How Can I Help

As a Non Profit there are many things needed, but first and foremost we want to make sure that our community's historic items are preserved and protected.  Many of us have photos, films and or documents and often these item just fade away in a box or are damaged and lost forever.  The Rainbow In Sunshine project will come to you and scan originals in your presence so there are no worries about your item's being lost.  If your photos are already digital you can send them to us on disk or email.  Please send a description of each item and name each one.  You will be asked to sign a standard release form allowing your item to be used.

If you have a collection of items you wish to contribute a full page or more would be devoted with your name and short history.  But each donation of history will get full credit for your donation to this collection. 

What is a Historic Document or Photo

Any Photo or Document of any age that it related to the GLBT community is historic.  We are collecting everything we can find.  Photo's taken at a public event such a pride or other events do not require a standard release.  It is the intension to show the photo's publicly in a gallery setting.  Please remember that some of our brothers and sisters need to protect their privacy.  Lets respect our brothers and sisters privacy and ask first.

We also need the things that all Not for Profit's need

Anything you can do will help.

Note that the Rainbow In Sunshine Project is a very young operation and a tax exempt status will be applied for.  So you may  not be able take advantage of a charitable deduction until an approval is received.
